Sidmouth
Driving Instructor: David Johnson
As well as being a fully qualified DVSA driving instructor, I am an active member of the local RoSPA Rodar driving group (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and achieved Gold level in the driving standards assessment which is a nationally recognised certificate.
My aim is to improve driving standards and safety of you and others in the group.
I also holds a National Diploma in Advanced Driver Instruction which is a certificate demonstrating the highest level of driving and instructional ability.

Driving Instructor: Will Stewart
I am a fully qualified instructor with the DVSA. I am also a holder of the RoSPA Diploma of Advanced Driving Instruction and also the Award in Education and Training.
Well reviewed by my learner students for my friendly approach and high success rate, I have also carried out post-test development for various organisations in the South-West.
I am proud to be the driving District Training Officer for St. Johns Ambulance for the West Region. Training and developing the Instructor team and members of St. Johns, I bring this experience to First Drive Southwest’s Instructor programme and Driving Instructor development.

My name is Debbie, I cover the Torbay area (Torquay, Paignton and Newton Abbot). Having worked in business training for a large corporate company for 17 years, the work life balance was not quite right with a young family. Being a driving instructor enables me to utilise my skills, experience and love for training and coaching.
I have a passion for seeing people succeed and overcome any barriers they may have, helping someone progress a skill and accomplish a goal is so rewarding. I strive to achieve a relaxed, calm, friendly atmosphere in my car, I look forward to taking your driving journey with you.

My name is Joe and I offer driving lessons in the Exeter areas.
With a vast background in Customer Service, I have developed excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for seeing people succeed. I have always taken great pride in developing and training people throughout my career.
I chose to be a driving instructor to help people learn and develop a life skill that will give them independence and opportunity, whether that be personal or professional. It is the whole reason I learnt to drive as soon as I was able to, to broaden my horizons.

My name is Katie and I am a fully qualified driving instructor with the DVSA.
I have a vast background within the care industry, and took great pride in working my way up to a senior role mentoring other people new to the industry.
I then decided to become a driving instructor as I really enjoy helping others to reach their goals and succeed whilst finding the new found independence that driving gives you! I aim to create a relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere for your driving journey.

Driving Instructor: Rich Cregan
I am a fully qualified DVSA driving instructor teaching automatic in Exeter, Honiton and Cranbrook.
I worked for 30 years as a Bandmaster in the Army training musicians and helping them prepare for exams and high profile performances; similar to a driving test! I am a qualified teacher (PGCE).
I have been trained in helping nervous/anxious drivers. My learners say I am relaxed, encouraging and fun. I love helping people learn to drive safely and gain independence.

Driving Instructor: Claire Hancock
Hi, I’m Claire and have been a DVSA approved driving instructor since 2006. I have a diploma in driving instruction and an award in education.
I also work delivering speed awareness and other nationally recognised driver education courses.
I have a passion for road safety and teaching the next generation of drivers how to drive safely for life.
In my spare time I am a member of the local RoSPA group and also have my IAM advanced driving certificate.

Driving Instructor: Ash Harry
After 14 years of being a Police Officer and working as a Detective in London and Devon, I grew fed up of being sat at a desk with endless paperwork and not feeling like i was achieving much. I felt like I need a change and having a passion for driving I liked the idea of coaching people how to drive. Now I am a fully qualified instructor with the DVSA and am loving it. I enjoy working with people on a much more positive basis than before, helping them achieve a great life skill and love the see the smiles when they pass their test. I have had many good reviews for my patience and friendly personality during lessons and pride myself on a relaxed yet productive approach.
